Products & Craftsmanship
Are your products handmade?
Many of our pieces involve hand processes such as embroidery, beading, block printing, and hand finishing. Minor variations are natural and part of the charm of handmade work.
Do you work with artisans?
Yes. We collaborate with skilled Indian artisans and craftspeople, supporting traditional techniques while adapting them for modern wear.
Why do some pieces have slight irregularities?
Because of the handcrafted nature of our garments, small variations in color, embroidery, or placement are expected and celebrated.
How do I care for Past Modern garments?
We recommend gentle hand wash or dry clean for most styles. Specific care instructions are mentioned on each product page and product wash care labels.

How do I choose the right size?
Please refer to the size guide available on each product page. If you’re between sizes or unsure, we recommend sizing up or reaching out to our team.
Do you offer custom sizing?
At the moment, we do not offer custom sizing. However, we are continuously working to expand our size range and if you do need a custom size - reach out to us
How do your tops and dresses fit?
Our fits range from body-hugging basics to relaxed silhouettes. Fit notes are mentioned in product descriptions for clarity.
Orders & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards, UPI, net banking, partial cod and other secure payment methods available at checkout.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Once an order is placed, it cannot be modified or cancelled. Please review your order carefully before checkout.
Can I update my shipping address after placing an order?
Shipping addresses cannot be changed once the order has been processed. If your order has not yet shipped, please contact us immediately and we’ll try our best to assist.
Why haven’t I received an order confirmation?
Please check your spam or promotions folder. If you still can’t find it, your order may not have gone through. Reach out to us with your payment reference and we’ll help verify.
How do I use my store credit?
Store credit can be applied at checkout using the coupon sent to the same email ID order was placed with. Apply it at checkout under Payment, under the “Use Gift Cards”. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash and must be used before expiry, if applicable. Store credit is valid for 12 months.
Shipping & Delivery
When will my order ship?
Orders are usually processed and shipped within 1–4 business days unless otherwise mentioned on the product page.
What are the delivery timeframes?
Domestic orders typically arrive within 4–8 business days after dispatch. International orders may take 10–20 business days depending on location and customs clearance.
How can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking link via email and on whatsapp. You can use this link to monitor your delivery status.
Where is my order?
If your tracking link hasn’t updated or your order seems delayed, please allow 24–48 hours for movement. If the issue persists, contact us and we’ll assist.
Why was my order returned to you by the carrier?
Orders may be returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or refusal to accept the package. In such cases, re-shipping costs may apply.
Do you ship across India?
Yes, we ship pan-India.
Do you ship internationally?

How long will my order take to arrive?
Domestic orders typically take 4–8 business days. International orders may take 10–20 business days, depending on location and customs. We also offer express shipping which delivers in 1 to 3 business days depending on the location and order.
Will I have to pay customs or duties for international orders?
Customs duties and taxes, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer and vary by country.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns?
You can return items for exchange or store credit if your return request is made within 5 days of delivery and the item is unworn, complete, and in original packaging with all accessories and proof of purchase.
How do I start a return?
Visit the Return page on the site and fill in your details.
Is there a return fee?
No, there is no return fee. If you process an exchange or return the second time, we may levy a return fee based on your location, if approved by the team.
What happens after I return the item?
Once received and inspected (2 to 4 business days), your exchange will be shipped or store credit issued.
Do you offer cash refunds?
No — all refunds are issued as store credit, valid for one year.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders cannot be cancelled once paid. If you request cancellation, the amount will be transferred as store credit.
Are sale items eligible for exchange?
Sale or discounted items are not eligible for exchange or store credit.
I received the wrong product. What should I do?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear images of the product and packaging. Our team will resolve this at the earliest.
I received a faulty or damaged product. How do I return it?
If you receive a faulty product, reach out within 48 hours of delivery with images or videos. Once approved, we’ll arrange an exchange or store credit.
My return or exchange pickup has not been done. What should I do?
Pickup requests are usually scheduled within 2–4 business days after approval. If your pickup hasn’t happened within this time, please contact us with your order ID and we’ll follow up with the courier partner.
My pickup was done but I cannot track it.
Return pickups may not always have live tracking enabled. Once the item is collected, it typically takes a few business days to reach our warehouse. If it has been over 14 business days, reach out to us for an update.
My pickup has reached you. What is the next step?
Once your return reaches us, the product goes through a quality check which takes 2–4 business days. After approval, your exchange will be processed or store credit will be issued as per the return policy.
Try-Ons, Stores & Reviews
I want to try on your items. Can I visit a Past Modern store?
Past Modern currently operates online only and does not have a physical retail store. Any pop-ups or offline showcases are announced on our Instagram. Sign up to our newsletter to stay updated.
How do I submit a product review?
After your order is delivered, you may receive a review link via email or whatsapp. You can also leave a review directly on the product page if enabled.
